EMAS registration

The ENEA Trisaia Research Center  is the first research center in Italy to have obtained EMAS registration, thanks to an innovative management system, operational since 2004, which governs all aspects in an integrated environmental and safety-related activities.

Renewable energy

The industrial research and experimental development on renewable energy use of the Centre are focused on biomass and qualification and certification of solar components at low and medium temperature.

Environmental Technology

In Trisaia Centre is undertaking research, development and production prototypes in laboratory , pilot and industrial scale, finalized to treatment, material recovery and energy recovery of waste, urban and industrial, and wastewater. The laboratories of the Centre support the Government and the industrial system in the adoption of advanced technologies.

Main functions
- Development, development and demonstration of innovative technologies and processes aimed at the recovery of materials from waste and scraps can be integrated in production cycles.
- Design and development of innovative processes and technologies for energy recovery of waste and scrap.
- Development and demonstration of technologies and processes for the detoxification of residues and their contribution to a safe landfill.

Biotecnology

The Research, Development and Technology Transfer on Biotechnology are the result of a complex process of evolution and enhancement of skills and know-how as well as advanced scientific and technological infrastructures and platforms developed in the Centre.

These consist of RTD & D, in summary, in the development and application of biotechnology to food processing industries, agro-industrial and agro-energy.
